The Staff
Professional Development Department, led by Helen Wood, is responsible
for the
continuing professional development of all staff within the school,
helping to ensure
that our children are supported by a highly skilled and competent team.
We are currently
seeking to increase the dedicated personnel in the department
responsible for delivering
and co-ordinating the school’s annual training plan, following a recent
restructuring of the department and to add to our current team of
trainers.
Successful candidates
will hold a professional qualification in learning and development and
have
previous experience training individuals, groups and staff teams.
Candidates
should have knowledge of autism, severe learning difficulties and
positive
behaviour support and be an excellent role model, willing to work in a
“hands
on” capacity with the children resident at the school, in order to
support the transfer
of theoretical knowledge to practice. Candidates should have excellent
office
administration skills and be prepared to contribute to the preparation,
administration, delivery and development of training courses across all
staff
